History of Minar e Pakistan


Minar e Pakistan is a historic Monument located in Lahore Pakistan. It was built to 
commemorate the Lahore resolution of 1940. Which called for the creation of a separate Homeland for Muslims in British India. The Monument's construction began in 1960 and was completed in 1968. Pakistan stands in Iqbal Park. Which is named after Allama Muhammad Iqbal. A prominent philosopher poet and one of the driving forces behind the idea of a separate Muslim state. The tower design combines modern and Mughal architectural elements featuring a blend of red brick and marble the height of Menara Pakistan is approximately 70 meters 230 feet, and It consists of a base a central shaft and a gallery at the top. The base of the monument contains inscriptions detailing the events and leaders associated with the Lahore Resolution visitors can climb the stairs to reach the gallery. Which offers panoramic views of Lahore Minar e Pakistan is a popular tourist attraction and a symbol of Pakistan's Independence Movement. It holds historical and cultural significance serving as a reminder of the nation's struggle for freedom.
